It always happens. I am at a social gathering or event and in the process of meeting new people, I get asked what I do. I tell them I am an artist, this many times is followed by a strange silence and a funny stare as if the person I am meeting doesn’t know how […]
Both my son an I seem to have some sort of bug. He has a bad sinus infection and I’m not feeling so hot either. I want to get some art done but my energy levels aren’t cooperating. On day two… Maybe I can eke out a fee more sketches so I feel productive.

I am drawn to antiques and found objects for their stories and using these items in a mixed-media collage to represent a long and abundant life together full of many blessings made this unique personalized wedding gift feel extra special to me. I felt as if I was infusing the stories and lives from the generations past into the hope and life of the future. The 6 and the 14 is date of their wedding and will be that date that their lives entwine into thread of family.
My new website is officially live and running (http://www.rebeccastahr.com). After a lot of hard work (and still more updates to the gallery and store to come), I have officially updated my website with a new improved look as well as over to a new server. I made this move so that I could host both my website and my blog in the same location and have greater flexibility and a better user experience for my audience.
